Cosmetic Application Routine
This is our recommended routine. By doing the eyes first, you allow your moisturizer time to seal your face, before applying foundation and it's easier to clean up any flecks from your shadow. Be aware that your eyes will look very dark until you complete the routine.
Before applying cosmetics, use the proper cleanser, toner and moisturizer for your skin type.
Before You Start
Using a regular skincare program will improve the look and wear of your make-up. You should use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer properly formulated for your skin type, both morning and night. It is very important that you remove your make-up at night--it's been said that your skin ages 8 days for every night you sleep in your make-up. It's also important to cleanse in the morning so you apply your make-up to a clean, fresh face.
The Tools
The right tools will improve the application and wear of your make-up. A good set of make-up brushes is a wise investment, and if properly cared for, will last for years. A cosmetic sponge is also a must. You'll also need q-tips, cotton balls and a make-up mirror (on the "daylight" setting) for the best application. You may also need a good set of tweezers and an eyelash curler.
The Look
The best make-up looks natural (but better). You are looking for effect, not noticeable color. Whether you prefer a soft, romantic look; a classic business look; a natural look; or an upscale, high-fashion look, you need to be sure you blend your make-up well and use colors that work with your hair, skin and eyes for the most beauty-enhancing looks.
1. The Eyes
(Eye Fix, Eye Shadow, Eye Liner, Shimmer Dust)
2. The Face
(Concealer, Corrector, Foundation/Moisture Tint/Bronzer, Luminizer/Liquid Radiance, Powder, Blush/Cheek Tint, Brush-on-Brows, Brow Set, Mascara)
3. The Lips
(Lip Fix, Lip Liner, Lip Color, Lip Glace', Nail Color)

From Day to Evening
For a natural daytime look, use a lighter hand and neutral colors. To go from day to evening, without starting over, use darker and more exciting colors to touch up your daytime look.
1. Blend out creases in shadow and add highlighter over the outer half of the lid. Blend out and add a touch more just under the brow. Retouch the accent color, repair your eyeliner (a Q-tip is great for touch-up--dip it in eye make-up remover for instant erase). Dust Shimmer Dust over all the shadows and use a White Eyeliner Pencil to add a touch of drama to your eyes.
2. Dot a small amount of foundation into your T-zone and blend with a sponge. Redust with powder, reapply blush (you can use more for evening, so just apply over what's left). For an added touch, use Liquid Luminizer or Liquid Radiance to add a glow to your look and a touch of shimmer dust to highlight.
3. Reapply your mascara, and touch up your brows, if necessary.
4. Wipe your lips and start again with a new color for evening. (If you are going from the office, or are on the road, try using a darker or brighter lip liner and the same color lipstick you used for daytime.) Top your lips with Lip Glace' for protection, moistness and shine.
